Willow Tree

Willow Tree (Miss. Tree to you) was and always will be our little tiny baby dog. She was full of personality and was so spoiled she had stinky breath. She never failed to make us smile or even laugh when we were having bad days. We love you and miss you so much Miss. Tree!!!

My beloved Hunter love to swim and pe into our pool to get his ball we through in the pool and even went under the water to catch his ball that would drop below the water.

He loved playing ball as long as you through it. He was suck a loving and affectionate boy and would let the grandkids lay all over him. He loved to go to Doggie daycare in his younger years and play with the other doggies, driving to the daycare with his head out the window and excited when we got there. When i picked him up he was so tired from playing he laid down in the car on the way home. Like "mom" I had fun today.

He was very fond of his treats and knew when it was bedtime, he'd be waiting for his last treat before I went to bed.

He was always waiting for me to get home from work and always there to greet me, of course he wanted his dinner too. When the garage door went up I knew he would be there happy I was home.

You were such a big part of my family. My wonderful companion. I will miss you always my friend.

Thank you for always being there for me. Love you.

Brutus adopted us in the Spring of 2010. He loved his family and going on walks and hikes. He would not put up with other dogs that didn’t belong so he prefers to be the only dog around. Brutus didn’t need much but a little love now and then. He also loved his second family at Coffee Road Pet Resort where everyone knew his name.Thank you for treating Brutus as your own

Our beloved Roxy, our faithful friend, and your love you shared till the very end.
For 11 years our family was blessed, now it's time for you to rest. You still live on in the hearts and minds, of the loving family you left behind. There are not enough words to describe the pain my heart is feeling by loosing you baby girl, mama will always love you and never forget you my little angel. - Mama

Roxy, perfect from the first day we met and forever loving in every way. Always wanting to be by our side no matter what we were doing. You will forever be a large piece of our family that will be missed. You will always be remembered. - Papa

In all things in the world you really don’t expect how much of a bond you can have with an animal. But when you grow up watching them grow and them watching you grow up. They aren’t just your pet they become part of the family. She was my sister one of my best friends and just someone I can talk to without being judged. No matter how much we fought each other we always loved each other. She always thought she was the big sister and the one that could overpower me. Yeah, she’d get in a couple of good bites on my nose, but when it came down to the end of the fight she’d always let me flip her on her back and let me rub her little tummy, or she’ dlet me carry her like a little baby that was one of my favorite things to do to her. But out of everything when I didn’t have much when people weren’t around she was. She’d wake me up every morning scratching on my door wanting to come in to come sleep. That was our thing we’d stay in bed watching anime, funny thing is I feel sometimes she’d would watch it with me because when something exciting happened her ears would perk up and she’d get into it. We were lazy to be honest that’s why we had the bond that we did because we’d love to sleep and lounge around. It’s still hard to think you’re no there you were the last of my childhood, the first night I couldn’t sleep because I was still waiting for someone to call saying that you were going to come home. But I know now that you’re resting easy with Vicky you both are together again protecting each other. There won’t be a moment in my life thatI’ll forget the both of you, I’ll be waiting to see the both of you. You guys impacted my heart and left imprints and will forever be in my heart. I love you goofs this family will miss you and we will always love you little goofball. - Big Bro

Fritz was a dog made for all the seasons of the year, and a best friend made for every season of life. He thrived in the summertime, beating the Bakersfield heat with trips to the swimming pool. He’d make the journey up to the mountains with his family, run circles around the neighborhood block, and bask outside in the sun. Fritz, always keenly aware of the world around him, understood what summer meant. It was the joyful, family time we were all able to appreciate together: calm, relaxing, and with the occasional leftover slice of pizza.

Summer would always change to fall, and that meant Fritz would lose his companions for most of the day to school and work. Still, he’d wait patiently (sometimes less patiently if there was food in the kitchen) for my brothers and I to make it home from class, and my parents from work. He was ready to show his family love after a long day, and to sprawl out on me on the couch as we decompressed with some TV. Fritz knew that it was that time together every night we all waited for, and he let us know he waited for it too. Winter was fireplace and sock-gathering season for Fritz.

If he had “me-time,” this was it. He’d lay with the fire to his right, a mass of socks to his left, and a blanket draped over him for hours. And yet, he would always find time from his cozy hibernation to greet my brother and I in a mad dash when we came home from college for the holidays. He was the first friend I’d see when I’d come home from the pressures of college life, and the first friend I’d miss whenever I left again. A few weeks would pass by, and we’d have to part ways again.

All the same, our time with Fritz was too short, and the last time I said goodbye when my winter at home came to a close was the last time I got to say goodbye to Fritz at all. When spring came every year, so did the warm constant of California weather and the chirping birds outside that kept Fritz pacing in the house day after day. I spent my last few springs apart from Fritz, but we always knew that spring meant summer was near, and our family would be together again. Since we lost Fritz, we’ve entered a new period of spring. While we miss him dearly, I know he’s somewhere chasing birds, passing the time while he waits for summer. And when summer comes, Fritz and his family will be together again.

Puma was an annoying, wonderful dog that we will miss greatly! So many times in the days since his passing I look for him to be there and he's not. Loyal to the last, Puma tried to tell our daughter goodbye the night he was dying, but couldn't jump on her bed. We miss you Pumabear!!

Buddy Salad

5/20/2007 - 3/11/2018

Buddy Salad came from the streets & loved life despite his health issues. Coffee Road Animal Hospital was his favorite place to be! He was always very happy & vocal while visiting his friends at the vet! His life ended with a smile on his face & a kiss on the hand. No more pain, lumpy face or immobile legs. He was the sweetest guy & it took his passing for me to realize just how much he's taught us. To share the joy of loving with everyone you meet. To be happy & enjoy each day, despite your circumstances. To show love to those who are feeling down. To be silly & make someone smile, just because. That time flies by so make each day count. You should be nice to everyone, but it's ok to bark at those who are trying to hurt you. Time spent watching the clouds move, the birds fly & the wind blow is time well spent. And to never complain until you just can't take it anymore. Buddy Salad, you have helped us way more than we've helped you. Thank you for being you the past 10 years. You truly are an angel.

Duke Pierucci

5/22/2008 - 2/20/2018

Our hearts are heavy, but also full of so many wonderful memories with our sweet boy. We received Duke’s cancer diagnosis while on our honeymoon in October. Every day since he fought daily and rarely showed signs of discomfort or pain. Last week he let us know that it was time for him to run (and swim) in heaven pain free. Duke was a lover, a hunter, a companion and best friend to many. We will miss him terribly but are thankful for all of the cuddles, licks, laughs and love that he provided us over the years.

Female, June 2007 - August 18, 2017

Gracie was a joy to our family. She had an independent streak, and she loved exploring all over the 5 acres we live on. She had a special way of talking to us, she could speak, roll over, shake hands, and rub-a –tummy. She was my constant companion, and I knew that whether I was having a rough day or a great day my sweet Gracie would be right by my side. She loved romping with the grandchildren and loved receiving attention from anyone that was willing to give it to her. We had 10 wonderful years with her, but it wasn’t long enough. She was our beloved Gracie, and she left her paw prints on our hearts forever. RIP Gracie, you will live forever in our hearts.

To the one that loved unconditionally, you will forever be loved and deeply missed. We will always carry you

but giving the chance to love you leaves us all the wonderful memories not one person can steal. And it won't

be long until we are together again for goodbyes aren't forever nor are they the end. It simply means we will

miss you until we meet again. We love you OX!

Our Zeta Beta was the best dog our family could ever have. She was always up for a hike, loved to swim in the pool with you and would love watching over us.

She enjoyed our long car rides up to our 2nd home in WA which made us so happy to have her there with us. She was so loving and such a sweetie! Our hearts

were so saddened with her passing but we know she lived a long, happy and fulfilled life. Our Zeta Beta will always be in our hearts.

2007 - 09/19/2016

I am a 62-year-old man, and have always heard the old saying that a dog is a man’s best friend. I really never understood how that could be possible, but when Bella came into my life and we spent the last four years together, I found the phrase to be true.

Bella was always sad to see me leave, but was always happy to see me come home. It seems like we had a best-friend relationship without her ever saying a word, but by how she always wanted to be near me and never expected anything in return. Love always…

Maggie was a "perfect lady" from the day that she came to us from Alpha Canine Sanctuary on May 21, 2005 until she went to "Doggie Heaven" on June 10, 2016. She loved to run through the woods and along the beaches when she camped with us. She enjoyed "singing" along with us when our barbershop quartet quartet rehearsed.

Her spirit is sorely missed by us, leaving a hole in our hearts.

Fred Kittredge

02/10/2010 - 06/07/2016

From the very first time we saw Sammy, he was energetic and fun loving. He loved to chase. On the day we went and picked him up he got loose and chased the owners chickens around the yard. He loved the chase and was so excited that he just smiled all over. The funny part was that when he actually caught a chicken he turned it loose so he could chase it again. He was playful and had a gentle nature. He was also protective of his family particularly his 4.5 pound little sister Riley. He loved to be with family. The closer the better. It’s hard to explain how we feel now that he is gone. Suffice it to say we miss him and are extremely happy that our lives came together the way they did.

Goodbyes are for those who love with their eyes...because those that love with their heart and souls there is no such thing as separation~

Heaven received one of the dearest, beautiful, precious boy, Rocky. I brought him home at 8 weeks and he loved, cared and slept by my side for over 14 years....never spending a night apart. I'm so grateful for having such an amazing dog in my life. Rocky gave so much love and joy (with a bit of Jack Russell naughtiness, too). So sweet, funny, happy, silly, smart, loyal, loving, caring, true blue with a pure heart of gold, strong and athletic (wow the boy could swim....he loved "his" pool every day of the year). Without a doubt he was my best friend and loyal companion. Such a blessing.

I always felt his unconditional love...the way he continuously tried to make my life easier by being so loving and attentive. He was my little shadow... my heart and soul. We both knew how much we cherished each other. I love and miss him beyond measure.
I will always and forever be his "mama" like he will always and forever be my boy, Rocky...aka Boo.
Until we meet again, rest in peace my sweet little dog. Know of my eternal love and gratitude for the blessing of YOU!!!

Oscar was a loving guy. He would lay on my lap and look back at me when I would stop petting him. He would lay with my husband and let him rock him to sleep. After I let him into the house he would take off at a run hitting my husband's chair and demand his attention. Once he was petted, he would then take off for my room. If we stayed up late watching TV, he would sit in the hallway waiting for us to go to bed. He gave us a lot of pleasure and love, we will surely miss him.

Ira was a great and loyal pet. She was born in Banska Bystrica, Solvensko, trained and came to USA by way of Texas. Flown from there to L. A. where she became part of our family at the age of almost 2. She gave birth to one litter (3 males, 3 females) was a very good mother. She was a great companion and brought much joy into the lives of many people. Certainly she will be missed.

For over 18 years, Bailee was the queen of the house. Her favorite past time was to sit on the back of her favorite chair for hours and watch the kids walk to school, the cars drive by, and the other animals run in the neighborhood. She loved to lie by the pool and let the sun warm her belly. She also loved to play hide and seek and bury her snacks throughout the house. When Bailee did not get her way, she would drag her toys out of her bed and leave them all over the house. Words cannot express how much I will miss those days. Bailee, you will always be my girl!

Daisy was the most happy-go-lucky soul we've ever met. She grew up with our family, moved to different houses, came on adventures to the beach and ruled the backyard. She was my doll when I was 8, patient and playful, letting us dress her up in baby clothes and roll her around in a stroller. She was the envy of pets among my friends in high school, goofy and happy and sweet to everyone. She was a friend I missed when I was away at college and a companion to the people I left at home.

She had many friends and we all miss her dearly (maybe not the squirrels in the backyard).

We miss you Daisy!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sushi came to me from my daughter as a problem kitty that lived in a home with two other cats that would beat up on him. When he pottied on the couch one too many times my daughter called and asked if I would take him. That was a no brainer question, of course I would. He helped me through some very rough periods of my life. Sushi had some quirks, love me all morning but past noon, don’t come near me until bed time. He “might” let me hug him goodnight but he always slept in the room or in the window to get the fresh air. He wasn’t much for others and would hide under the bed, when a friend brought their little dog over he would tolerate it, if it came to near the poor little dog would be a face slap but at least they could be 5 feet from one another. It broke my heart when he started getting sick, and finally had breathing problems, couldn’t walk well and quit eating.

I love you Sushi and miss your meows.

6/2003 - 04/20015

This is a story about Levi Millington who was a male Catahoula Leopard dog who was born around 2003 in Louisiana and sold to unknown wild pig hunter in Bakersfield. My grandson hunted with him and when Levi didn't hunt the way he wanted him to he was going to put him down, now my grandson liked the dog and didn't want that to happen! So the long and short of this he traded a pocket knife for Levi. Now the grandson his brother and a couple of other young men hunted wild pigs and of course Levi went with them and they all became very attached to Levi. One day a wild hog attached the other grandson and Levi intervened and took him out saving the boy from getting a good mauling and possible death, Levi sustained several major injuries but recovered from them. Now Levi had never lived indoors so was not house broke and the grandson had no place to keep him and I was looking for another dog so we took him witch was the best thing I ever did. He never in all the years we had him did he have any accidents. One day while we had him out running a pack of coyotes tried to run him to ground so they could kill him, well now Levi was one very tough dog and in very good shape, they chased him around for about 20 minutes and they could see he was going to get them before they could do him in and they all took off. Levi loved people especially baby's we never had to worry about him hurting anyone or jumping on another dog unless they stared it. He was one very tough dog. All the young men that hunted with him ask how he is and are sad when we tell them he is gone.

Now I hope when we get to the Rainbow Bridge Levi will be there waiting for us.

05/04/2004 - 04/24/2015

I adopted her from Bakersfield SPCA on October 16, 2004 when she was about 6 months. She was the most 'amazing dog' ever and from the day I got her to the time she past, it was always a joy to have her in our lives watching her grow. She was kind, gentle, and a barker but not a biter. I did not spend as much time with her as I should of but she knew I loved her. Her fur was so soft and beautiful, and I will miss her so much but will always be smiling. She was so sweet and no one can take her spot in my heart, even if I get another pet, it will never be the same. I am believing that she went home to Heaven and I will definitely see her again some day.

Sweet, funny, loving chi-mix that was adopted from Alpha Canine Sanctuary. Dixie was always ready for belly rubs and treats. She gave a lot of love in return. I will forever be grateful for having her in my life. What a loyal friend she was. I miss her. Thank God that all dogs go to heaven. xoxoxo

We were so lucky to have had Chester in our family. We found Chester at the SPCA when he was only 9 months old and it was truly one of the luckiest day in our lives. He will live in our hearts forever.

Weenie was a wonderful pet. She was loyal to her family in the extreme ( to both the humans and the dogs in the family). She gave comfort and support freely. She was kind and gentle, but at the same time fearless and brave. She loved and protected her family members when necessary. She was always up for a road trip to the beach or to the mountains- never complaining about long trips in the car! She was my constant companion every morning and every evening. She slept near me every night and during car rides, always wanted to sit on my lap and help me drive! She was always positive and upbeat, always looking forward to the next adventure. She thought of herself as invincible and immortal. I thought of her that way myself. So, I choose to believe that her spirit is now with God and that she is running happily and freely, while playing with the angels. Weenie died on my lap on May 23, 2011. Just before she died, I asked her to save me a place in Heaven at her side. I loved her dearly and miss her terribly. She will always have a big space in my heart and in my memories.

DOB- Unknown but designated on February 14, 1997 - July 2, 2011

I brought him home from the Kern County Pound in Feb. 1997. All I knew was that he was picked up by Walgreens on the east side of town, and his family never came to claim him. What can I say, but that he was a "good dog". Rest in Peace little man.

My dear Casper, all you ever did was to be sweet; no doubt after 14 years on this earth you are back to your healthy happy self..

With you are lots of dog-friends and Grandpa. Hopefully, Rick Laverty is playing with you right now. Uncle John and Auntie Bess will be happy to make you feel loved.
Please look around dog heaven for Petey, Twix, Snoopy, Oliver, Tomasina (the only cat allowed in Dog Heaven) and Andre.

...and eventually I will join you.

Tumbleweed 1991-2008

Samantha 1996-2008

Both dogs were the best friends and companions. Together they traveled over 120,000 miles across the United States and visited 9 states. They knew how to order a whipped cream short cup at the drive-thru speaker at Starbucks and the barista's understood what to get them. After Bubba died, Tumbi was never the same and died of a broken heart 6 months later. Their spirit lives on in our hearts.

Dexter is on the left.

November 1997 to December 12, 2011

Dexter came to live with me from the Sacramento Pug Rescue group when he was six. He has been my constant companion for the past 8 years. He loved going to horse shows all over Northern California, playing with his stuffed animals and sleeping in the sun. He brought joy and laughter to our family and will be greatly missed. My heartfelt thanks goes out to the Doctors and staff for their compassion and kindness during this heart wrenching time.

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away,

You suffered much in silence,

You fought so hard to stay,

You faced your task with courage,

You felt your hope descend,

But still you kept on fighting,

Until the very end.

God saw you getting tired,

When a cure was not to be,

So he put His arm around you,

And whispered, "Come with Me"

So when we saw you sleeping,

So peaceful, free from pain,

We could not wish you back

To suffer that again

Willy was his name and he was with us for 14 years
He came with no shame, just showed up and had no game
Our first impression was curious, never had a pet before
But Willy made us change that and much more....
He became our GENTLE GIANT, with eyes that never showed defiance
All he wanted was to be loved and cared for and sometimes just wanted to sit by the door
Pillows are made for humans but I swear Willy found a way to make it his own
He never showed aggression, just love and affection
One day our Dog, heard his calling to heaven and found a way to make it before January 7th
We miss you old dog, it was your time....but we have comfort in knowing you will be FINE.

To My Dearest Family:

Please don't suffer for me. My life with you was incredible, particularly since I came to you as a stray running cold winter streets. I am so grateful for the effort you spent in easing my last weeks. How I felt your love! I must admit though, I have always had a special bond with dad and mostly just wanted to be by his side. I was so grateful that before crossing the rainbow bridge Dad got to hold me in his arms. I know you thought it was hard, but I was comforted. I wish I could have played more with you during the last years, but alas my body couldn't keep up with my spirit. As soon as you get here I will be waiting (with Lancelot, Sadie McJiggers, Homer, and Fred), and we will run as fast as the wind and I'll shower you with my kisses. Until then, love the rest of the pack as you have loved me.

“Barley Boy” we miss you so much!! You were our first child… we miss how you would always be there at the back door to greet us and then barge your way in the house. Your dad misses his hunting companion and the kids miss there swimming partner. Maddy misses your sweet kisses and her partner in crime. Your mom misses her 100lb lap dog. Not a day goes by that ALL of us don’t think of you. You were a sweet dog. We know that you are able to run and play again. Our hearts are broken, but we know that you are in a better place. We will see you again at the Rainbow Bridge.

The memory of Bailey is a happy one,

He left an afterglow of smiles when his life was done.

With bright and sunny days.

Its time for tears of grief to dry

He left us happy memories when his life was done.

Woody (aka: Sgt-Maj Woody)

01/2001- 9/18/2012

Sgt-Maj Woody was a great friend and companion. Regardless of how bad the day had been, Sgt-Maj knew just what to do, and during the really tough times, he was always there to help uplift my spirits. I am getting close to retirement, and like John Steinbeck’s book “Travels with Charley, In Search of America”, we planned to travel this great country together. These plans will never materialize, but when I do get opportunity to travel, Woody will be there in spirit! He died in my arms on 18 September 2012, and if dogs could talk, his last words would have been, “Old Soldiers Never Die; They Just Fade Away. Good Bye My Friend”. Good bye Sgt-Maj Woody may you rest in peace!

Ercole (A.K.A. Mow Mow)

1997 - 2/5/13

Ercole came to us in December of 1997 by way of the Bakersfield SPCA, and quickly became part of our family. He was as sweet as kitties come and was great with children. His favorite little boy was Michael. They played together, ran together, and even became roommates. Nicknamed “Mow Mow” by Michael, Ercole quickly learned his new name ~ especially where treats were concerned. He was extremely devoted, loving, kind, and even became our own personal “watch kitty”. Mow Mow went to kitty heaven after a short illness on February 5, 2013. He will be missed and remembered by all as the coolest kitty we had ever met. We love you Mows!!

And even though the days seemed too few with you and are very lonely without you now, my 'little shadow' I know we will meet again my sweet boy and until then, your memory lives on in my heart and my love is with you always... We could not wait for Sugar to be 8 weeks old and we could pick her up from the SPCA. My husband even camped out with a chair, coffee and newspaper on that day to be sure we were there first! She loved being with us no matter what or where and we always wanted her with us too. Sugar was not afraid of anything, she was a great protector but more than that, she gave unconditional love to us constantly. There’s a great loss in our home now but we fill so privileged that we could have shared her fourteen years with us. God bless our Sugar girl.

February 2012 - December 3, 2012

Hurley was my fiance and I's first dog as a couple. He was such a handsome, precious, friendly, playful and loving Great Dane. He was a talker, he wouldn't bark a lot but would actually talk to us! It was adorable. He was so loyal and so protective of me especially that he would stand "guard" in front of me even around my other dog Fred. He passed very soon, at 9 months, of heart failure, a common problem in fast growing Great Danes. We were absolutely devastated. The staff at Coffee Road Animal Hospital was so helpful and caring in handling Hurley and us. They honored Hurley and gave us a paw print to take home that day.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

Cocoa & Rosie

Cocoa 2003 - 2012

Rosie 2002 - 2013

These are our girls, Cocoa is the lighter one, Rosie is the Calico. We rescued them both from the SPCA before each was a year old. They were as different as night and day. Cocoa was the chubby little clown. She would often turn herself up side down, much like the picture, as her way of saying hello. She didn't meow, she squeaked. When she jumped on the bed to wake us, she didn't tip toe, she stomped. She didn't lie down gracefully, she plopped down like a sack of potatos. There wasn't a day that went by that Cocoa didn't make me laugh. Rosie was the lady, the graceful one. She loved to run, and would often race through the house like a bolt of lightening, just because she wanted to run. She was playful and sweet. She had many distinct voices, and her meaning was unmistakable when she talked. I had coffee with Rosie sitting on my lap each morning. It was our routine. We are grateful for the time these two wonderful babies spent with us. We loved them. They enriched our lives, and we hope to see them again.

Prudence had an Amazing Spirit and a Love for Everyone and Everything.

She will be forever in our heart and missed dearly.

Denise Irvin

January 28, 2000 - September 22, 2013

Though in this photo he looks very regal, he was "Mama's Baby." We met in February, 2001, when a lady decided that he was the "backyard agitator," stirring up trouble over the ownership of the supper dish and the lady friends, and he had to go. She must have admonished him in Spanish, as he never forgot the few choice words that I used when I became frustrated over his stubborn streaks -- they worked every time. It was for me love at first sight and we quickly became "an item." He was the ideal traveling companion, even on long journeys, and was the perfect gentleman, welcome wherever we went. Even though his legs were short, he never gave up running after the neighborhood cats and the squirrels from our pine trees. They knew they were not welcome in our yard. I don't know what he would have done if he had ever caught one; I believe he chased because they ran. Life will be lonely without him, but I pray that he has found the "meadows and hills" I heard about recently. Thanks to the doctors and staff at Coffee Road Hospital, especially Dr. Hammans. And God bless you, "Little One." We had a wonderful life together; it just ended too soon.

12/2004 - 12-2013

Seamus was a beautiful Irish Wolfhound, one of the tallest dogs on the planet. He went with me so many places and since he was so big and unusual looking, he always caused a bit of a scene wherever we went. Due to his large size (and his 191 pounds) many people wanted to know if he was mean. Of course not - who would want a dog that big that was mean? Seamus was a good, kind, benevolent and "correct" dog, as are most of his breed. He accepted all who came before him, from toddlers to wiggling, slurping puppies to other adult dogs. He accepted them all with dignity. He may not have approved (those puppies!), but he always accepted.

Seamus had three names - his call name (Seamus), his AKC name, Kerryarc Ruckus O'Blarneystone, and his out and about name, OH MY GOD! He actually answered to Oh my God because he heard it several times every time we went shopping or traveling together. We would be walking along and he would hear "Oh my God" and would always turn around to see who was calling him. He never knew people were just remarking on his huge size, not calling him!

Seamus was the dog of my dreams, the dog of my heart and the dog I had waited nearly 50 years to have. Seamus, I will miss you forever and please, dear boy, wait for me at the rainbow bridge.

Dobie Gillis

6/15/199 - 2/25/2014

Dobie Gillis was the model pup. Even though he was a mere 6 pounds, he was still top dog at home. His favorite time of the day was meal or snack time. He knew that snack time was near whenever anyone wrestled with food packaging in the kitchen. His ears perked up, his eyed widened, he would shake and bark to get our attention, letting us know he wanted a bite.

Dobie loved to step in every doggy food dish. He felt that the oils moisturized his patty paws. He would defend his food to the last drop. He once competed on episode of Man verses Food: Puppy Style. His toughest adventure was chewing the over-baked salmon that had stuck to an aluminum pan. He never met a scooby snack he didn't like. He would consume each as if it was the best food ever and he would fight anyone for a taste. If Dobie walked across a piece of paper, he left a paw print of grease, not mud.

Dobie loved the outdoors. Whether he was taking in some rays from the warm sun, enjoying a cool breeze or catching a bird, Dobie was relaxed. He enjoyed running around with his doggy pals. He liked to snuggle real close to them outside to show he's top dog. The last time he went swimming unsupervised, we found out that he could still tread water better than dad. HAHA!

Everyday Dobie sat next to us as we watched TV or worked on the computer. He liked to dance. His favorite color was orange. Sometimes we would have to spell his name D-O-B-I-E so he wouldn't know when we were talking about him. Dobie's favorite movie was The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis because it mirrored the truth.

Dobie Gillis will be missed by our family and his puppy pals. We mention Dobie often in conversation since he was such a part of our daily lives for the past 15 years. He will continue to live in our hearts.

My dear sweet Maddie, I feel like you were here today and gone tomorrow so I had no time to prepare for the sudden loss of you! :( And I'm reeling now with nothing to hold on to but the memory of you! But I do have so many beautiful memories to cherish~16 years worth but yet it just still never seems to be enough time together. But I do feel extremely blessed that God brought you to me so I could save you from the uncertainty and sometimes dangerous life of an outdoor feral kitty. But when I think of it today I feel perhaps you saved me and brought such purpose, joy and love into my life and made our family complete for which I'll always be grateful for! :) Yes parting is such bittersweet sorrow but I know I'll see you again so save a place for me! My love always~Mama's right here... ~♥~

Paw prints

Left by Cassie

You no longer greet us,

As we walk through the door.

You’re not there to make us smile,

To make us laugh anymore.

Life seems quite without you,

You were far more than a pet.

You were a family member, a friend,

…. A loving soul we’ll never forget.

It will take time to heal,

For the silence to go away.

We still listen for you,

And miss you every day.

You were such a great companion,

Constant, loyal and true.

Our hearts will always wear,

The paw prints left by you.

We love you so very much….

Mr B

Mr. B was a precious member of our family. About three and a half years ago I took a cute little Kitten to Coffee Road Animal Hospital for her first shots. In a cage in the waiting room was Mr. B with a sigh that said "I am Mr. B and I need a home)" Well he would be house cat number three so I told myself I would think about it. I couldn't stop thinking about him. When I went in to pick him up he was on a chair in the office like he owned the place.

He weighed 21lbs and was Garfield in a Tuxedo. The sweetest and most beautiful guy. We enjoyed every day we had with him. Thank all of you at Coffee Road Animal Hospital for your love and support.
